With all the information and technology available today, you can be a successful producer almost overnight. There are many producers who sell Hip Hop beats and Rap beats on the Internet. An obvious solution to fix your kick drum sample is to use an equalizer, and is something most producers believe will work. Expecting to create an incredible sound in the mix-down will usually lead to disappointment. All the equalizing in the world won’t save your low quality samples. By trying a different method, you can avoid getting caught up in this mess.

If you don’t mind B-grade audio quality, then you can do some kick drum sample adjusting with EQs. You can’t mix in an element into a sound if it wasn’t designed that way to begin with. When you’re working on your beat, you should be focusing on getting the sounds right.

If you want great sounds, you’ve got to create them in your beat. Modify the samples and sounds as your producing your beat on the spot. You’re guaranteed to get the best result each and every time when doing it this way. (more…)
