The internet is loaded with ways to get music, some legal and some very illegal. Illegal ways include using services such as torrents, P2P file sharing services, and more. While you can get free music this way, the possible problems sometimes outweigh the benefits.
These various services are being monitored by companies to check for copyright infringement. They look for individuals that are downloading their music, capture their computer information, find out who they are from their Internet service provider, and generally send them a warning letter, threatening to sue them if they get caught again.
